Wall Street Compensation Still A Work In Progress
NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--Despite an escape from TARP and a recent
boost in some business lines, bankers on Wall Street shouldn't count on
a return of the golden bonus era just yet.
Financial giants such as Goldman Sachs Group Inc. (GS) and Morgan
Stanley (MS) repaid $10 billion a piece to the U.S. government,
returning funds received from the Troubled Asset Relief Program.
Analysts say both are also reaping the benefits of strong results in
fixed income, with some projecting a big quarter from Goldman.
