Globe and Mail Update,

This is a ranking of compensation
paid in fiscal 2008 to the CEOs of the 100 largest companies (by market
capitalization) in the S&P/TSX composite index as of June 1. For
companies with no CEO, the president or similar executive is used.
Where two names appear, the company has co-CEOs. The data reflect new
compensation disclosure rules mandated by regulators for companies with
fiscal year-ends of Dec. 31, 2008 or later. For companies with earlier
fiscal year-ends, the data in some categories may not be directly
comparable if displayed under prior disclosure rules.

The chart also shows CEOs’ accumulated equity and pension holdings at
the end of their companies’ fiscal years or at a later date if provided
by the company in the annual shareholder proxy circular. It does not
include gains from options that have been exercised in the past or
shares that were sold in the past, but only provides a snapshot of
current holdings at a moment in time. The data do not include shares
held by a CEO in other related companies within their corporate groups.

The table below shows the first 25 companies and a subset of the available data. To view the full list please click on 'View Full Table" below.
