CEO PAY 2010 - Portland Business Journal http://bit.ly/du235Z

Even Mark Donegan took a pay cut last year.

Donegan, CEO of Attachment.Precision Castparts Corp.,
was the state’s highest-paid public company executive last year, taking
home more than $18.2 million in compensation, a 1.2 percent decrease
from 2008.

He wasn’t the only CEO with a smaller paycheck last year.

Across the state, CEOs and other executives joined rank-and-file
workers who toiled for less pay as the economic collapse continued to
wreak havoc on sales, stock prices and bottom lines.

This article points out, for the millionth time, that Equity compensation is dropping for CEOs.  We already know that it has dropped for regular staff.

Let's start a real discussion about how we can better optimize equity compensation, create more effective plans and keep this useful compensation tool at the forefront of innovation.

It is a simple fact.  The old time-based awards of the past are not working and are not being supported by companies.  Let's get moving into evolving equity for tomorrow.
