See http://bit.ly/1kzIoqH with core information to help make sense of this for employees and stock plan professionals.

If employees had income from stock compensation or an employee stock purchase plan in 2013, they need to understand where that income is reported on the W-2 so they can complete their tax return properly. In the Tax Center at myStockOptions.com, there is also a new section of FAQs about Form W-2 reporting for stock compensation for all types of grants and ESPPs. Each one includes an annotated diagram of Form W-2 that clearly interprets this sometimes cryptic document.
