client is one of the world's leading investment banks with a stellar
reputation. Due to continued business growth, a great opportunity has
arisen for an accountant to join the Compensation Accounting Team.   
   

Reporting to the VP, your main responsibility will be to assist in the
accounting of compensation expenses for employees and process their tax
reporting of compensation within the Asia Pacific region. You will also
ensure proper controls of information flow as well as review, reconcile
and substantiate entries to the general ledger accounts for payroll and
accrual purposes. Additionally, you will assist in the formulation,
automation and implementation of payroll processes to facilitate new
entity set up, tax effectiveness programs, new benefit schemes etc. You
will work alongside Human Resources, Tax and Legal departments in the
region and interact closely with these departments.   
   
To qualify, individuals must possess:

• A finance or accounting degree with a professional accounting qualification  
  


• At least 3 years of individual Tax experience gained from Big 4 
  


• At least 3 years of payroll and benefits experience in a banking environment 
  


• Excellent team spirit, flexibility and adaptability  
  


• Strong PC skills in Excel, knowledge of Peoplesoft is advantageous  
  


• Overseas' applicants will also be considered  
  


• Mandarin language skills preferred due to China exposure
